Biomatters
Number 33 on the Index and returning for a second year is Biomatters who develop innovative, easy-to-use and essential scientific software that speeds up research for all biologists. Biomatters is a privately held New Zealand company, with headquarters in Auckland and they reckon the Kiwi ethos and sense of innovation and entrepreneurialism has created world leaders for many years in science. The NZ government is committed to the scientific industry as a top priority for growth and innovation, and as a result, New Zealand's biotechnology and IT industries have flourished. Biomatters have been at the forefront of that philosophy and having recently set up shop in the US they are continuing on the growth train recording a percentage of 210.31.
